Burlingtyn Bokos Named SSC Swimmer of the Week

MELBOURNE, Fla. - University of Tampa freshman Burlingtyn Bokos was recognized as the Sunshine State Conference Women's Swimmer of the Week. Sunshine State Conference Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of October 7 - 20, 2024. Athletic Communication Directors of member institutions nominate athletes.

Bokos kicked off her collegiate career with three wins and a pair of nationally-ranked swims at the Eagle Invitational hosted by FGCU. The Hinsdale, Illinois native won the 500 Free with an NCAA "B" cut of 4:54.80, which is second in the division this season. She won the 400 IM with an NCAA "B" cut of 4:22.21, placing her first in D2. Additionally, Bokos won the 200 Fly in with an NCAA "B" cut of 2:01.31.
