
Laura Hodgson Recipient of SSC Swimmer of the Week Honors
MELBOURNE, Fla. - University of Tampa women's swimmer Laura Hodgson earned her second Sunshine State Conference Swimmer of the Week honor, as announced on Monday by the SSC office
Hodgson delivered Tampa four first-place swims, all NCAA Division II B qualifying times, in a pair of wins last week. Against Keiser, the Englishwoman won both the 500 Free (4:58.73) and the 1,000 Free (10:11.29). In a tri-meet victory against Lynn and Barry, Hodson won the 200 Free (1:52.30) and the 500 Free (5:00.06). The weekly award is her second this season.
Sunshine State Conference Athletes of the Week are chosen from a pool of nominees for their performances during the week of January 13 - 19, 2025. Athletic Communication Directors of member institutions nominate athletes.
