
Burlingtyn Bokos Finishes as All-American in the 400 Individual Medley to Highlight Day 3 of NCAA Championships.
INDIANAPOLIS - The University of Tampa men's and women's swimming teams concluded day three of action at the 2025 NCAA Division II Swimming & Diving Championships, highlighted by an individual National Championship and numerous school record swims.
In the city known for crowning champions, sophomore Jacob Hamlin earned his third National Title of the weekend, this time in the men's 200 Freestyle.
Hamlin on his third National Title of the weekend, "First of all, all glory to God, that was a dream," Hamlin said "I was sixth coming in and I was able to get my hand on the wall first tonight and earlier in prelims. Getting it done in prelims really gave me the courage and confidence to get it done tonight."
Head Coach Jimi Kiner on how his teams need to perform tomorrow, "Our boys only got outscored by a point today, we have to have a really good morning tomorrow so that we could score points at night and see what happens."
Kiner continued, "Our girls have really good opportunities in numerous events, the 500, 100 Backstroke, and Burlingtyn (Bokos) in the 200 Butterfly. So the girls are sitting in a good position there."

In the 200 Freestyle, Jacob Hamlin won the National Title, setting a new school record in the process by putting up a final time of 1:33.38. Additional 200 Freestyle All-Americans include Rafael Ponce De Leon (6th place - 1:35.40) and Caleb Brandon (8th - 1:38.73). Junior Barnabas Fluck finished 15th, 1:37.26.

In the 100 Butterfly, Parker Knollman finished as National Runner-Up while also setting a new school record, registering a final time of 45.98. Tibor Tistan finished 14th with a 47.24, and Owen McLaughlin finished 15th stopping the clock at 47.34.

The 400 Medley Relay team of Beckstead-Hoffman, Mindek, Knollman, and Hamlin finished fifth, setting a new school record in the process, 3:08.76.

In the 400 Individual Medley, freshman Burlingtyn Bokos finished fifth while also setting a new school record, 4:16.65.
- With the All-American finish, Bokos joins her father Preston Bokos to become the first two-generation All-American duo at the University of Tampa. Preston was a three-time All-American in 1997, 1998 and 2000.

The 400 Medley Relay team of McCaffrey, Soderlind, Bokos, and Morin finished seventh hitting the touchpad at 3:41.89.
