
Spartans Gain Experience at UF Relays
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The University of Tampa track team spent Saturday at the University of Florida Relays, enjoying several personal best times and one school record performance.
Freshman Steven Dennig set a school record in the 800 meter race with a time of 1:54.52.
Kelly Hagan notched a new personal best in the 1,500 with a showing of 4:42.77.
Lewis Price ran a 9:48.34 in the 3,000 steeple. Running in the 5K were Chris Rego (15:27.96), Peter Orgass (15:36.01) and Charles Toledo (15:36.05).
Tampa returns to action on Friday where it will host the UT Relays. The event will begin at 6 p.m., at Pepin Stadium.
