
Number of Personal Records Set at FSU Relays
TALLAHASSEE, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's and women's track teams competed at the two day Florida State University Relays, setting a number of personal records against high-level competition.
In the women's 1,500 Meter run, Kelly Hagan was the lone Spartans as she ran to a 19th-place finish with a time of 4:43.71.
The 5,000 Meter run included a pair of Spartans among the top finishers, with Courtney Ragan coming in second at 18:12.64. Vanessa Righeimer was fourth with a new personal record time of 18:16.20.
Danielle Kissel was the lone Spartan in the 10,000 Meter run as the freshman amassed a new personal record with a second-place finish and time of 38:25.15.
In the men's 5,000 Meter run, Mike Zwijacz was 13th (15:32.86) as Peter Licari (19th, 15:38.62) and Mike Leone (29th, 16:17.40) also represented the Spartans. It was a new personal record for Zwijacz and Licari.
On Saturday, sprinter Tyrone Clayton competed in the 200 Meter Dash, finishing 25th after being clocked at 22.85.
Tampa returns to action on April 5-6 at the Florida Relays.
