
Tampa Individuals Shine at Florida Relays
GAINESVILLE, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's and women's track teams faced off against top competition at the University of Florida Relays, enjoying a number of accolades.
In the 1,500 Meter Run, Kelly Hagan was 27th with a time of 4:45.96.
The 5,000 Meter Run featured a trio of Spartans, led by Courtney Ragan's 25th place finish after being clocked at a personal best 17:53.75. Vanessa Righeimer (36th, 18:18.98) and Danielle Kissel (39th, 18:38.82) also ran for UT.
On the men's side, the 1,500 Meter Run saw Tampa's Tory Webb achieve a personal record and place 32nd (4:03.78) as Geremy DeWitt was 40th (4:16.93).
In the 5,000 Meter Run, senior Charles Toledo represented the Spartans with a 25th place finish and time of 15:06.01. His time went down as the third fastest time in Tampa history in the event.
The Spartans will return to action at home on April 13 at the UT Invite at Pepin Stadium. The meet is scheduled to begin at 5 p.m.
