
Spartans Conclude Season at Georgia Tech Invite
ATLANTA, Ga. - Members of the University of Tampa men's and women's track team competed at the Georgia Tech Invite on Friday and Saturday, which marked the final competition of the 2013 season.
In the women's 5,000 Meter Run, Courtney Ragan was third and notched a new personal record after running to a time of 17:47.81. Vanessa Righeimer was seventh (18:29.27) as Danielle Kissel placed ninth (18:45.15).
In the women's 800 Meter Run, Sarah Waller competed for the Spartans and placed 16th with a time of 2:16.91.
In the men's 5,000 Meter Run on Friday, Michael Zwijacz was 18th overall after crossing the finish line with a showing of 15:57.48.
The men's 800 Meter Run featured UT's Steven Dennig as the sophomore was 23rd at 1:54.41. The time also marked a school record, which broke his previous mark.
