
Several Firsts for Spartans at UT Track Classic
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's and women's track teams hosted the annual UT Track Classic, breaking school records and finishing first overall in a host of events.
Top Spartan Performers (Men)

The Spartans took first in the 4x200 Relay with a time of 2:17.18. Anthony Russo, Ian Jordan, Sebastian Alvarado Roldán and Daniel Perez competed for Tampa.

Jayden Berry was seventh in the 400 Hurdles at 1:01.95.

The 1,500 had a 10th-place effort from Jared Hammill as he was clocked at 4:05.24.

Tampa won the 4x100 Relay in 43.84 from Maurice Gentry, Joey Coulter, Martin and Jake Swad.

John Trombley was the winner in the 400 at 49.42.

Swad had an 11.02 in the 100 tom place third as Martin was fourth overall.

In the 800, Brian Veit was fourth with a showing of 2:00.18.

George Alexander was the star of the 3,000, setting a school record and taking first with a time of 8:26.20.

UT won the 4x500 Relay in 3:31.24. The winning relay included Trombley, Swad, Khalil Snell and Coulter.
Top Spartan Performers (Women)

Allison Murphy led UT in the 400 Hurdles with a fourth-place time of 1:06.10.

In the 1,500, freshman Katelyn Deitrick was sixth overall after finishing at 4:54.69.

UT won the 4x100 Relay with a school record time of 50.08. The record quartet included Jada Bolhuis, Abigail Saintelmy, Jaime Hicks and Camilla Nicholas.

Lillian Hicks won the 400 with a time of 1:00.05. Teammate Zahra Wilson was second as Nicole Sullivan was fourth.

Nicholas was the top Spartan in the 100 with a time of 12.52 to finish second. She was followed by Bolhuis.

Deitrick was seventh in the 800 to lead all Spartans as she finished in 2:26.64.

The 200 featured two Spartans in the top five as Bolhuis was third at 25.63. Nicholas was fourth.

Murphy set a school record as she placed third in the 100 Hurdles at 16.17.

Tabitha Suggs championed the 3,000 with a first-place time of 10:05.24. Hannah Capel was fourth in the event.

A UT win came in the 4x400 Relay with a 4:07.07 from Kayden Kruchoski, Lily Canoy, L. Hicks and Sullivan.
