UT Women Set Three School Records at USF Invite

TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's and women's track teams both competed at the two-day USF Bulls Invitational.

Top Spartan Performers (Men)

• The 100 had Jake Swad placing 18th overall with an 11.01.
• The top Spartan in the 200 was John Trombley who placed 33rd with a time of 22.56.
• Joey Coulter was 23rd in the 400 as he finished in 50.28.
• In the 800, George Alexander was 12th overall with a time of 1:54.70. Alexander also led all Spartans in the 1,500 as his 4:00.83 time was good for 15th place.
• A total of four Spartans finished in the top-10 of the 5,000, led by Aaron Engelhardt's 15:03.44 to place fourth. Caleb Belmont was fifth while Nathan Reffitt and Devon Sullivan were seventh and ninth respectively.
• Jayden Berry was 11th in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 1:03.49.
• The 2,000 Steeplechase included GioVenchy Cerisier, who was fifth at 6:10.71.
• The 4x100 Relay had UT fifth with a time of 43.24 from Maurice Gentry, Wade Martin, Riley Pelletier and Swad.
• The Spartans were ninth in the 4x400 Relay with Trombley, Shane Cohen, Khalil Snell and Coulter running in 3:29.29.

Top Spartan Performers (Women)

• In the 100, Camilla Nicholas was 17th with a time of 12.09. Nicholas would then set a new school record in the 200 as she ran it in 24.83 to place 23rd.
• The 400 featured a 24th place effort from Nicole Sullivan in 59.89.
• Zahra Wilson ran the 800 to lead UT with a 16th place time of 2:24.26.
• The Spartans were led by freshman Katelyn Deitrick in the 1,500 as she was 15th with a 4:47.61.
• Tabitha Suggs led UT in the 5,000 with a time of 17:52.01 to finish eighth. She was folklowed by Emma Skinner and Aspen Gordon, who were ninth and 10th respectively.
• A new school record was registered by Allison Murphy in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 15.93 to finish 17th overall. Murphy also competed in the 400 Hurdles, where she was 15th with a 1:06.71.
• The third UT school record of the weekend came in the 4x100 as a time of 47.77 came from Jada Bolhuis, Lillian Hicks, Jaime Hicks and Nicholas. They would place ninth in the event.
• The Spartans were also ninth in the 4x400 Relay with a time of 4:05.08 from Sullivan, Macie Sisson, Kayden Kruchoski and Wilson.
