
Five School Records for Spartans at East Coast Relays
JACKSONVILLE, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's and women's track teams were both in action on Friday and Saturday, competing at the East Coast Relays. The event was hosted by the University of North Florida.
School Records (Men)

A new UT school record was established by George Alexander, as he finished 13th in the 1,500 after being clocked at 3:53.58.

GioVenchy Cerisier competed in the 3,000 Steeplechase and would finish ninth overall with a school record time of 9:37.46.
School Records (Women)

Allison Murphy set a new school record in the 400 Hurdles, finishing the race with a time of 1:02.95 for a 15th-place finish. Murphy would later break her own school record in the 100 Hurdles with a time of 15:00 to place 38th overall.

Camilla Nicholas added another school record performance with a time of 24.48 in the 200. She would place 28th in the event to lead all Spartans.

Tampa set a new school record in the 4x400 Relay with a time of 3:54.34. The team of Nicole Sullivan, Lillian Hicks, Allison Murphy, and Zahra Wilson broke the previous record by 5-plus seconds in the 14th-place effort.

Riley Pelletier was the first of four Tampa runners in the 200 as he finished in 22.55 for 61st place.

Dominic Brink was the fastest Spartan in the 5,000 with a 30th-place time of 15:36.76.

The Spartans were 10th overall in the 4x100 Meter Relay. A time of 42.88 came from Maurice Gentry, Wade Martin, Riley Pelletier, and Jake Swad.

Two-time All-American Shane Cohen was 24th overall in the 800 with a time of 1:53.79.

John Trombley ran the 400 as the fastest Tampa runner. He finished with a 50.39 time to place 41st.

The 100 featured four Spartan runners as Maurice Gentry was the fastest with a time of 1.08 in a 64th place finish.

UT was seventh in the 4x400 Relay as the team of John Trombley, Shane Cohen, Khalil Snell, and Joey Coulter had a time of 3:20.95.

Six Spartans competed in the 1,500, led by Meagan Moreno with a 38th-place finish of 4:48.84, which was also a personal best.

Aspen Gordon notched a top-10 finish in the 5,000 as she ran to a new personal best time of 17:42.71.

The Spartans opened the second day with an 11th-place 4x100 Meter Relay finish at 48.36 from Jada Bolhuis, Lillian Hicks, Nicole Sullivan, and Camilla Nicholas.

Zahra Wilson led all UT runners in the 800 as she was 27th after being timed at 2:17.08. The time also represented a personal record for Wilson.

Lillian Hicks ran the 400, placing 40th overall as she was clocked at a personal best 58.84 time.

In the 100, Camilla Nicholas posted a time of 12.03 to finish in 37th place for Tampa.
