Tampa Women's Cross Country Wins Embry-Riddle Invite
DAYTONA BEACH, Fla. – The University of Tampa women's cross country team claimed its second consecutive championship, winning the Embry-Riddle Invitational.

- Meagan Moreno | 8th place, 19:13.66
- Emma Skinner | 9th place, 19:14.45
- Katelyn Deitrick | 10th overall, 19:15.08
- Aspen Gordon | 11th overall, 19:20.07
OTHER NOTABLES:
- Capel, who was honored as the Sunshine State Conference Runner of the Week following the season opener at Valdosta State, was the top Spartan for the second time in two races this season.
- Moreno, a Coastal Carolina transfer, had her second straight top-10 finish as a Spartan.
- A freshman, Skinner finished ninth for the second straight race, also besting her personal best time from the Valdosta State Invite.
- Fellow freshman Deitrick joined Moreno in the Spartan top five.
- Nikki Bezborodko also finished in the top-15 with a 15th place finish and time of 19:39.75.
- First-year head coach Logan Wells won his second straight team championship at the helm.
- Wells registered a total of 15 runners.
- Palm Beach Atlantic's Madelyn Rodriguez was the individual champion with an 18:44.41 time.
- Also representing the Sunshine State Conference were Palm Beach Atlantic (2), Nova Southeastern (3) and Embry-Riddle (5).
