Spartans Conclude Regular Season With 5th-Place UAH Invite Showing

HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - At the University of Alabama at Huntsville Chargers Invitational, the University of Tampa finished fifth overall with a total of 193 points.

Top Tampa Runners

  • Leading the way for Tampa was Lindsey Volkman, who finished in 24th place with a time of 21:40.30.

  • Close behind her was Tabitha Suggs, securing 37th place at 21:57.70.

  • Freshman Kara Bergeron crossed the line in 42nd with a time of 22:01.90.

  • Tampa's depth was further showcased by Jessica Hernandez (44th, 22:03.80), Taylor Guthrie (51st, 22:12.40), and Hannah Diete (54th, 22:16.60), all finishing in the top 55. Mary Richmond placed 71st at 22:32.30, rounding out Tampa's top finishers.

Up Next

With the regular season complete, Tampa will be back in action on Friday, October 25 at the 2024 Sunshine State Conference Championships, which will be held at Holloway Park in Lakeland, Fla. The men's race will begin at 7:45 a.m., followed by the women's championship at 8:45 a.m.
