TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa baseball team will host the Saint Leo Lions for a weekend series. The first pitch will be thrown at 6 pm on Friday.
The Matchup: No. 10 the University of Tampa vs. Saint Leo University
Date/Time: Friday, March 16th at 6 p.m., Saturday, March 17th at 1 p.m. and 4 p.m.

About the Spartans: The No. 10 ranked University of Tampa Spartans are led by junior Stephen Smith who has a .368 hitting percentage. Drew Ehrhard has the second leading batting average with .361. Darren Miller leads the team in RBIs with 21. Mark Moclair leads the pitching order with a 0.41 ERA. David Lebron leads the team in strikeouts with 53.
About the Lions: The Lions are traveling to Tampa after opening the season with a 19-2 overall record and a 6-0 conference record. As a team, the Lions have a .325 batting average, .424 on-base percentage, and a .538 slugging percentage. Brett Coffel leads the team in batting average with .390. Peyton Isaacson leads the team with 30 RBIs. Shane Haight leads the pitching order with a 2.04 ERA while Jordan Pendleton leads with 31 strikeouts.
Series History: Tampa owns the all-time series over the Lions by a 124-43 mark.
Tickets: Tickets for are $5 for adults, senior citizens, and coaches. Children under 12 will be admitted free. UT students, faculty and staff will be admitted free with a valid student ID.
