
Tampa Places In Top 10 At Titan Winter Invitational
MELBOURNE, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's golf team finished 10th overall at the Titan Winter Invitational, which was hosted by Brevard Community College at Sun Tree Country Club. The victory marked UT's fifth top-10 finish in as many events in the 2010-11 season.
Tampa finished competition with a 954 (+90), garnering a top round of 315 in the second frame. Brevard CC captured the team title with a 896 (+32). Fellow Sunshine State Conference opponents Florida Tech (903) and Saint Leo (941) also appeared in the event.
Nicolas Jutigny led all participants with a second-round score of 74, finishing 28th overall with a 235 (+19). Parker Wingfield and Quin Trigg followed Jutigny as the duo tied for 31st with 236 apiece.
Also competing for the Spartans were Brixton Albert (238), Charlie Green (239), Kris Shane (245), Kyle Roy (245) and Taylor Noel (247).
