
Spartans Conclude Season With Seventh Place Showing At SSC Championships
BOCA RATON, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's golf program finished its 2010-11 campaign with a seventh place finish at the 2011 Sunshine State Conference Championships. The two-day tournament was hosted by Lynn University at Boca Country Club.
The Spartans finished with a three-round score of 907 (+43). After an opening round of 300, UT shot a 303 in Monday's second round and capped off the tourney with a final round score of 304 on Tuesday.
Nova Southeastern University captured the 2011 SSC Championship, shooting an 873 (+9). They were followed by Barry University (874), Lynn University (880), Florida Tech (891), St. Leo University (896), Florida Southern College (899), UT and Rollins College (907) and Eckerd College (911).
The Spartans were led by senior Nicolas Jutigny, who shot a team-leading 225 with a top-round of 74 on Tuesday. He also fired scores of 75 and 76 in Monday's round. Jutigny finished in a 19th-place tie.
Jutigny was joined in the Tampa lineup by Taylor Noel (227), Kris Shane (229), Brixton Albert (233) and Kyle Roy (239).
Tampa concludes a season where it medaled two tournaments, winning the Spartan Invitational and the Webber Invitational. Jutigny also added an individual first-place finish at the Saint Leo Invitational.
