Tampa Places Two on Regional Team
TAMPA, Fla. - Devin Shaw and Ricardo Cardoso from the University of Tampa men's soccer team were named to second-team NSCAA all-South Region. This marks the first regional selections since 2002.
Shaw, a junior defender from Spring Hill., Fla., was the lone
Spartan to start all 18 matches. He totaled two goals, five assists
and nine points with a game-winning goal. Cardoso, a junior forward
from Coral Springs, Fla., led the Spartans with 14 goals and 32
points with three game-winning goals. He also was credited with
four assists.
"This is a tremendous honor for both of these players and extremely well deserved," says head coach Adrian Bush. "The players carry this award with their teammates and this shows some positive strides that we are continuing to make."
