Ryan Thompson Earns Fourth SSC Weekly Honor

ORLANDO, Fla. - University of Tampa men's soccer player Ryan Thompson has claimed his second consecutive and fourth Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Week honor for the 2008 season.

The junior goalkeeper from Kingston, Jamaica, had a 15-save effort to post a 3-1 SSC win over Eckerd. Thompson followed that outing by notching four saves in his seventh shutout of the season, a 4-0 win over Flagler. With 15 saves versus Eckerd, Thompson matched his own school record, which was the set match before versus Barry.
