
UT Rises To #4 In NSCAA Poll
KANSAS CITY, Kan. -The University of Tampa men's soccer team jumped one spot to No. 4 in the NSCAA Division II poll after spending last week in the fifth position.
After opening the season at No. 3, the Spartans spent three weeks at the top spot before dropping to fifth for one week.
The Spartans stand at 5-0-1 after a 2-1 victory over Barry on Saturday in its Sunshine State Conference opener.
SSC opponent Lynn claimed the top spot as Cal State Los Angeles and Lees-McRae (N.C.) also appear ahead of the Spartans. SSC opponent Rollins comes in at No. 14.
UT hosts No. 1 Lynn on Saturday in a match-up between a pair of national top five teams. The game is scheduled for 7 p.m. at Pepin Stadium.
