
Milien Lifts #3 Tampa Over Palm Beach Atlantic
WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - In the first of three games in four days, two late goals from Tampa's Pascal Milien lifted the No. 3 University of Tampa men's soccer team over Palm Beach Atlantic University 2-1 on Tuesday in a regional matchup. The win brings the undefeated Spartans to 7-0-1 on the season while the Sailfish fall to 5-4-1.
After the two squads played to a scoreless tie in the first half, the Sailfish were the first to get on the board Johnathan Clark took a pass from Chance Sumner into the back of the net in the 67th minute. The Spartans, however, rebounded quickly from the deficit when Pascal Milien scored his sixth goal of the season less than two minutes later, assisted by Greg O'Connor.
With time winding down, O'Connor once again fed a pass to Milien for his seventh of the season in the 84th minute. O'Connor has now assisted on each of Tampa's last four goals, including both against former No. 1 Lynn University on Saturday night.
Ryan Thompson finished with two saves versus the Sailfish including a point-blank shot off the foot of Sumner in the 79th minute. PBA's Joe Yurchak ended the contest with six saves.
