KANSAS CITY, Kan. - After a 3-0 week, The University of Tampa men's soccer team moved up to No. 2 in this week's NSCAA Division II poll after spending a week in the third spot. The Spartans have remained in the nation's top five in every poll this season.
Tampa holds a 9-0-1 record on the year after a victory over Palm Beach Atlantic and two shutout wins against Webber International and Sunshine State Conference opponent Florida Southern.
Lees-McRae (N.C.) holds the top spot in the poll. After Tampa, Millersville, Drury, and Southern New Hampshire round out the top five. Fellow SSC school Rollins comes in at No. 9.
UT takes on Eckerd tonight at 7 p.m. before traveling to Winter Park to face undefeated Rollins on Friday. Fans may follow the game via live stats through www.tampaspartans.com.
