#10 Tampa Set To Take On #9 Lees-McRae In NCAA Quarterfinal
BANNER ELK, N.C. - After taking the NCAA South Region championship last Sunday, the tenth-ranked University of Tampa men's soccer team travels to the Southeast Regional winner No. 9 Lees-McRae College on Saturday for the NCAA Quarterfinal at 7 p.m. in Banner Elk, N.C. This is the Spartans' second straight appearance in the quarterfinals after defeating Tusculum last season.
Tampa (17-2-1) is set to take on a Bobcats (17-2-1) team that wrapped up the Southeast Regional with a 3-2 overtime victory over No. 24 Anderson College. The Spartans are led by senior Pascal Milien, whose 12 goals and seven assists lead the squad, and Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Year Ryan Thompson who has allowed just 16 goals in 18 starts this season in goal.
