
Ingvarsson Leads Group Of Four Daktronics All-Americans
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - University of Tampa senior defender Dan Ingvarsson was named to the 2009 Daktronics NCAA Division II All-America first team released Thursday, while three other Spartans were also honored. Pascal Milien was named to the second team, Lister Warren to the third team, and goalkeeper Ryan Thompson received honorable mention.
Ingvarsson led all Spartan defenders with five goals and seven assists on the season while captaining the squad to its second straight NCAA Quarterfinal appearance.
With 12 goals and seven assists this season, Milien led all Spartans in goals and points this season. Warren was second on the team behind Milien with 11 goals on the year to go along with two assists. Thompson started 18 of the Spartans' 21 contests on the season, posting a 0.88 goals against average and allowing just 17 goals en route to his second straight Sunshine State Conference Defensive Player of the Year award.
