TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa (4-2) men's soccer team won its third consecutive match with a 1-0 victory over the University of West Florida at Pepin Stadium on Friday night.
Scoreless for the first 64 minutes, junior Ryan Griffin connected on his team-leading fifth goal of the season to lead UT to the victory. Sophomore Kemal Malcolm was credited with an assist on the nifty score by Griffin.
Freshman David Niepel notched his second straight shutout as he turned away two Argonaut shots. UWF outshot Tampa on the night, 10-8.
