Brian Fekete and Lister Warren Earn All-American Status
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - Brian Fekete and Lister Warren represented The University of Tampa on the 2010 Daktronics NCAA Division II Men's Soccer All-America Team as Fekete picked up second-team honors while Warren found a place on the third team.
Fekete, a sophomore defender from Plant City, Fla., started all 22 games and totaled three goals and five assists. He netted one game-winning goal and played 1,790 total minutes. The defensive unit that he led allowed the Spartans to outscore opponents by a 46-19 margin in 2010.
Warren, a senior from Spanish Town, Jamaica, also started all 22 matches and led the team with 12 goals. He also tallied five assists and a team-high 29 points. Among his goal were two game-winners.
Sports information directors from NCAA Division II schools and conferences sponsoring men's soccer selected the Daktronics All-America teams. The process begins at the regional level with all first team All-Region picks advancing to the national ballot. This is the fifth year Daktronics has sponsored the NCAA Division II men's soccer All-America and All-Region teams.
