WEST PALM BEACH, Fla. - The University of Tampa (6-7-2) men's soccer team dropped a 3-1 decision at Palm Beach Atlantic University (8-3-1) on Monday afternoon, in a contest that was rescheduled from an earlier season weather delay.
The Sailfish scored the first three goals of the game, beginning with a score in the sixth minute of play. PBA added another goal just over two-minutes before half from National Player of the Year Kenny Hogg.
Hogg would add his second goal of the day in the 54th minute, giving Palm Beach Atlantic a 3-0 lead.
Tampa's Dorado Phipps put his team on the board in the 78th minute, as sophomore Trent Lott was credited with the assist.
The Spartans outshot the Sailfish 13-12, as PBA held a 5-4 edge on shots on goal. UT took three corner kicks, compared to one by PBA as goalkeepers David Niepel and Norbert Bengyel each registered a save.
