Keith Francisco leads the Spartans with three points after notching his first career goal Saturday. The junior forward also recorded his first career assist in the season opener Thursday.
Fellow classmate Chris Campbell also found the back of the net in the season opener while sophomore Brandon Loafman converted a penalty kick against No. 2 Carson-Newman.
Zak Downes registered his first career shutout in the victory over Spring Hill. The freshman goalkeeper has also tallied six saves on the year.
Tampa is 4-2-1 in the all-time series with Clayton State as the teams battled to a 2-2 double overtime tie last season in Morrow, Ga. The Spartans hold a 5-1-2 record against Montevallo after battling to a 2-1 overtime victory in 2012 at Pepin Stadium.
