Zak Downes Earns Second SSC Player of the Week Honors
MELBOURNE, Fla. -
The University of Tampa's Zak Downes has been named Sunshine State Conference Men's Soccer Defensive Player of the Week presented by VALIC.
Downes, a freshman goalkeeper from Dallas, Texas allowed a goal and had three saves in a loss at No. 4 Saint Leo. He followed that performance by registering his fifth shutout of the year in a 3-0 victory over regional opponent Palm Beach Atlantic.
