Tampa Set to Host Flagler for Saturday Night Matchup
No.7 UT will be looking to bounce back from midweek loss to No.15 Lynn
TAMPA, Fla. – The No.7 University of Tampa Spartans will host the Flagler College Saints for a 7 p.m. match. The Spartans come into the match looking to bounce back from their only loss of the season so far to Lynn University on Wednesday 2-1 at home.
The Matchup: No. 7 University of Tampa (6-1-2, 2-1-1 SSC) vs. Flagler College (4-5-1, 4-2-0 PBC)
• The Spartans and Knights enter the contest as the No. 2 and No. 3 offenses in the SSC as Tampa is averaging 3.25 goals per game as a team while Lynn comes into the match averaging 2.9 goals per game.
• Tampa is the only SSC team that remains undefeated overall this season and is one of two conference teams (provisional SSC member Palm Beach Atlantic being the other) to be undefeated in conference matches.

Last Time Out: UT fell 2-1 against rival #15 Lynn University at home. Jake Winship scored the goal for Tampa in the 78th minute as the Spartans tried to come back from a 2-0 deficit. Fredinho Mompremier leads the way on offense scoring eight goals this year while Lewis Sugden leads the way in assists with six. In net, Jake Richards and Richard Trench have split time with Richards conceding seven goals and Trench four in their respective times between the posts.
About the Spartans: Freshman Lewis Sugden is tied for the SSC lead in assists per game with an average of .750, with six in eight games played. Mompremier is tied for second in the conference in goals scored with eight so far this season. Mompremier is also tied for second in game-winning goals at three having played three games less than the leading scorer in the conference. Defensively, goalkeeper Jake Richards leads the conference in goals against with an average of .608
About the Saints: Flagler is coming off a 2-1 victory in overtime against USC Aiken in Aiken, S.C. on Wednesday night. Jackie Kay scored the opening goal in the 15th minute and Eamon Moore clinched the win in the 97th minute. The Saints offense is led by Oscar Davidsson who has four goals on the year and one game-winner. Senior Lex Craggs has started in goal in nine of the ten matches and has allowed 12 goals while recording 43 saves and maintaining one shutout.
Series History: Tampa leads the all-time series between the two schools with 11 victories to Flagler's 2 and there has been one draw. In the last meeting, the Saints defeated UT 5-4 in Tampa.
Tickets: General Admission ticket prices for all Florida Southern regular season athletic events are $5 for adults and $3 for Seniors, Military and visiting students. Youth (ages 12 and under) are admitted free of charge.
