Spartans Ranked No. 23 in NSCAA Poll
After a close 2-1 loss to then-No. 15 Lynn, Tampa fell in the Top 25 as released by the NSCAA
KANSAS CITY, Mo. - After suffering their first loss of the season to then-No. 15 Lynn 2-1 last week, the Spartans fell to No. 23 in the Top 25 as released by the National Soccer Coaches Association of America today.
The team only played the match against Lynn as their game scheduled for Saturday against Flagler College was canceled due to Hurricane Matthew. Scoring for UT was Jake Winship in the 78th minutes as the team fought to come back from a 2-0 deficit.
Teams that are also ranked that are still left on the schedule for the Spartans this season include Barry University (8th) and Palm Beach Atlantic (17th).
This week, the team will be busy as they have three games to tackle. They will play in St. Petersburg tonight against Eckerd College at 7 p.m. before hosting Barry on Friday for Homecoming at 7 p.m. as well. UT will have a quick turnaround as they will also host Auburn-Montgomery on Saturday evening at 7 p.m.
