Late Goal Lifts Barry Over Spartans
Barry scores with under 10 minutes to play to register first SSC win.
MIAMI SHORES, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's soccer team dropped back to .500 in Sunshine State Conference play as it fell to Barry University on Saturday evening.
INSIDE THE MATCHUP:

All-time Series: Tampa remains on top in the all-time series by a 22-13-3 mark. This marks the first home win over Tampa for the Bucs since 2010.
HOW IT HAPPENED:
1st Half | The evenly-played contest was scoreless through the first 45 minutes, with the Spartans recording eight shots on goal compared to seven for the Buccaneers.
2nd Half | Barry scored the game's lone goal in the 80th minute when Ivan Arenas netted his second goal of the season. The unassisted score came following a steal in the back as Arenas netted the goal on a 1-on-1. UT tallied 10 shots in the period while holding Barry to five.
INSIDE THE STATS:
• The Spartans outshot Barry 18-12 in the contest. UT also held an 8-5 edge in shots on goal.
• Felipe DeSousa turned in a team-high eight shots, with five being on goal..
• Jake Richards started in goal for Tampa, finishing with four saves in 90 minutes.
• Rollins took eight corners compared to two for Tampa.
• Fouls were 16-9 in favor of Barry.
• Tampa held the advantage iin corners 7-4.
