SSC Men's Soccer Tournament Bracket Unveiled
MELBOURNE, Fla. - The 2021 Sunshine State Conference Men's Soccer Tournament quarterfinal matchups will kick off on Monday, November 8th. Both first-round games will be hosted and broadcasted by SSC member institutions. The regular-season co-champions University of Tampa and Palm Beach Atlantic each receive first-round byes and will open in the semifinals on Thursday, November 11.
For the fifth time since 1978 and first since 2010, two teams share the SSC regular-season title. Palm Beach Atlantic University and the University of Tampa both finished at 9-1, marking the third trophy for the Sailfish and 15th for the Spartans. PBA collects the No. 1 seed in the SSC postseason tournament and a first-round bye after defeating Tampa during the regular season. UT receives the No. 2 seed and will also have a quarterfinal bye.
Lynn University lands the No. 3 Seed and will take on No. 6 Barry University in Boca Raton. The Fighting Knights defeated the Buccaneers (1-0) in Boca Raton on October 6th. Nova Southeastern University is awarded the No. 4 seed and will host No. 5 Florida Southern College in Fort Lauderdale. The Sharks defeated the Moccasins (3-1) on September 25th in Lakeland.
The SSC semifinals will be Thursday, November 11th, at PBA and Tampa. The highest remaining seed will host the 2021 championship final on Sunday, November 14th. Watch all the games live on the SSC Digital Network or follow the action on the SSC Live Scoreboard.
2021 NCAA Postseason: Winner of the men's tournament will receive automatic qualification to the 2021 NCAA Division II Soccer Championships. The opening round of the NCAA Division II Championship are scheduled for Thursday, November 18th - Sunday, November 21st at non-predetermined sites. Third round and quarterfinals will be Thursday, December 2nd - Sunday, December 5th. The semifinals and final will be played Thursday, December 9th - Saturday, December 11th at Switchbacks FC Stadium in Colorado Springs.
