HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: The game began with possession going both ways, with each team fighting for the ball. Tampa took over possession about six minutes in the game, recording the first shot on goal of the matchup. In the 25th minute of the half, the teams took a water break knotted at zero and discussed their plans to finish out the half. Tampa and Auburn-Montgomery were all equal at the end of the first 45 minutes.

SECOND HALF: The second half opened up with the battle for possession continuing. In the ninth minute of the half, the Warhawks opened the scoring to go up one on the Spartans. Junior Midfielder Theo Maye capitalized off a penalty kick late in the half to tie the matchup at one. The Spartans kept the pressure on for the rest of the match, ending the full 90 minutes tied.
