HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: The game began with even possession time by both teams. The Saints recorded a shot on goal in the 10th minute, with goalkeeper Salvador Ribera making a great save. Captain Nico Gamio recorded a beautiful shot in the 16th minute that went just above the crossbar. The teams continued to trade chances back and forth, with no luck as they headed into the half tied at zero.
Score: 0-0 Tie
SECOND HALF: The second half opened with an intensity from both teams, as they each wanted to be the one to score first. The Spartans had an amazing chance off a Marcello Valbuena shot in the 70th minute, but the Saints defense kept the ball out of the net. The teams continued to battle, with the match ending tied at zero.
