HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: The game began with each team taking their time setting up scoring chances. The Tritons recorded an early shot proving to be the only one for a while, as each team was hesitant to give up their lines. In the 29th minute, goalkeeper Agustin Lombardo made a diving save to keep the matchup tied at zero. The teams were evenly matched in the half, heading into the second 45 tied at zero.
Score: 0-0 Tie
SECOND HALF: The second half opened with each team eager to be the first to score. Ricardo Sepulveda netted the first goal of the match in the 59th minute off a corner kick to give the Spartans a one goal lead. Tampa continued to play well defensively, holding onto their one goal lead until the end of the 90 minutes.
Final: 1-0 Tampa
