HOW IT HAPPENED:
FIRST HALF: The matchup began with each team taking their time setting up scoring chances, with Viggo Svedin recording the first shot in the eighth minute. Tampa dominated the possession time but did not capitalize on any chances. The Eagles and the Spartans battled defensively for the first 45 minutes, causing the teams to head into halftime tied at zero.

SECOND HALF: The second half opened with a sense of urgency from both teams, as they both wanted to open the scoring. Goalkeeper Salvador Ribera made the first save of the matchup late in the 49th minute. In the 55th minute, the Spartans recorded three consecutive shots causing the Eagles' goalkeeper to make some saves. This matchup would prove to be one of great defensive play from each team, causing the teams to finish tied at zero.
