Alex Hare Named SSC Defensive Player Of The Week

TAMPA, Fla. - Junior, Alex Hare has been named Defensive Player of the Week by the Sunshine State Conference for the first time in his career.

Hare was monstrous in net for Tampa as the Spartans defeated the Clayton State Lakers 2-1 in a thrilling home matchup. The Derby native would record a leage-leading 10 saves after facing 15 shots by the Lakers, 11 of which were on target (0.909 save percentage). Hare held the opposition to one goal, coming up big for Tampa on multiple occasions to keep the Spartans in front.
