Final Home Meet of 2017-18 Results in First-Place Spartan Finish
Both UT teams won the annual Relay Meet.
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's and women's swimming teams returned to action at the Tampa Relay Invite, with both Spartan teams coming in as the first-place team.

HOW IT HAPPENED:
- In the final home meet of the season, UT honored four men and six women prior to competition.
- The men's seniors include Marc Caron, Victor Philaire, Tommy Reminger and Stefano Vrolijk.
- Tampa's seniors from the women's team are Brittany Bayes, Katie Bayes, Page Fox, Emma Hutchings, Sophie Long and Courtney Markle.
- In the 10 women's races, Tampa took first in eight of the events.
- The Spartan men won three races.
TOP PERFORMERS:
- Tampa's women picked up their first win of the meet with a first-place finish in the 3x100 Back Relay. The team of Katie Bayes, Emily Clesen and Emily Schlosser finished in 3:07.12.
- The Spartan men also won the 3x100 Back Relay with a time of 2:44.13 from Brett Saunders, Justin Hedlund and Victor Philaire.
- The women's 3x100 Breast Relay team of McKenzie Street, Ali Lombardi and Page Fox were first at 3:31.61.
- K. Bayes, Brittany Bayes, Jessie Tobin and Sophie Long won the 800 Free Relay with a time of 8:02.54.
- In the 500 Crescendo Relay, the Spartans notched a time of 4:47.07 from the team of Megan Waddell, Molly O'Hara, Courtney Markle and Maureen Moore.
- The 400 Medley Relay team won in 4:11.86. The group of Clesen, Street, Sophie Long and K. Bayes were the victors.
- The Spartans women also took the 8x50 Free Relay. B. Bayes, Waddell, Markle and O'Hara were clocked at 3:24.51.
- Tampa took the women's 3x166 SNARF Relay in 5:43.22 from B. Bayes, Tobin and Victoria Horsman.
- The men were timed at 5:11.48 in the 3x166 SNARF Relay from the team of Mauricio Calderon, Nick Tinucci and Tommy Reminger.
- UT won the men's 400 Yard 100 IM Relay in 3:35.60 as the winning team included Tinucci, Forrest Lundy, Stefano Vrolijk and Brett Saunders.
- In the final women's event, UT finished the 400 Free Relay at 3:43.21 from Waddell, O'Hara, Moore and Markle.

Tampa travels to Fort Lauderdale on January 12 to meet Keiser University.
