
Spartans Set for Final Meet at UT Aquatics Center
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Tampa men's and women's swimming teams are set to host SSC opponent Saint Leo University this weekend. This is the last scheduled meet to take place at the UT Aquatics Center, which the Spartans have called home since the program's inception. The team will move to the new Benson Alex Riseman Aquatic Center in the spring.
Men's Matchup: No. 14 University of Tampa Spartans vs. No. 25 Saint Leo University Lions
Women's Matchup: No. 12 University of Tampa Spartans vs. No. 17 Saint Leo Lions
Date/Time: Saturday, November 20 and Sunday, November 21 at 11:00 a.m.

Last Time Out: The Spartans are coming off a victory against Florida Tech last Friday.
About the Spartans: The men won all but two events in their meet against Florida Tech, and swept five individual events. Mikael Haugen led the team with three first place finishes in the 400 Medley Relay (3:26.42), 50 Yard Freestyle (21.21), and 100 Yard Freestyle (46.70). With a score of 207-54, the men were victorious.
On the women's side, Julia Augustsson racked up victories in the 400 Medley Relay (3:53.44), 100 Yard Breaststroke (1:05.02), and 200 Yard Breast (2:24.09). The Spartan women took the Panthers, 186-76.
About the Lions: Saint Leo was last in action on November 6 against Rollins. The men won by a narrow margin, 132-130. Saint Leo captured nine individual event victories and both relays. Szymon Leszega was named SSC Swimmer of the Week on November 8th after winning the 50 free (21.82) and 100 free (46.74). He was also a member of the Lions' 400 medley and 200 freestyle relay teams.
The Lion Women beat the Tars 143-119. Saint Leo captured nine individual event victories and both relays. The Lions had four swimmers earn a pair of victories.
Matchup History: The Spartans last faced the Lions in a dual meet in 2018. The men won 208.5-123.5, and the women won 252-80.
