Tampa Swimming Rises in CSCAA Poll
RICHMOND, Va. - Both University of Tampa swimming teams climbed the rankings in the Division II January College Swimming and Diving Coaches Association of America (CSCAA) poll.
UT's women rose to 6th in the nation from their previous rank at 10th, while the men are moved up to 12th from 20th nationally.
On the men's side, The University of Indianapolis kept their top spot, which they have held all season. Sunshine State Conference opponent Florida Southern moved down to 8th, while Nova Southeastern is tied with UT at 12th. Saint Leo returns to the rankings at 24th. Queens University of Charlotte remains in first place on the women's side. SSC opponents in the top-25 include Nova Southeastern (4), Rollins (19), Florida Southern (20), Saint Leo (21), and Lynn (22).
The Spartan men are coming off of a pair of victories, winning a double dual meet against Indian River (132-130) and then-No. 16 Nova Southeastern (154-108). The Women split the meet, crushing Indian River (198-64), while falling to then-No.7 Nova Southeastern (158-104).
Tampa will be back in action tomorrow, January 14, when they visit West Palm Beach to take on the Keiser University Seahawks. The meet will commence at 3:30 pm. Fans can view live scoring on the MeetMobile app.
The rankings are voted on by CSCAA-member coaches and select media. The committee includes six representatives from division II institutions and two media members. The remaining polls are scheduled for release on February 9, and March 4. These dates are subject to change.
