Tampa Swimming Set for 2023 SSC Championships
CLEARWATER, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's and women's swimming teams are set to compete at the 2023 Sunshine State Conference Swimming Championships, scheduled for February 15-19 at the Long Center in Clearwater.
UT enters the postseason following numerous feats in the regular season, and several individuals expecting to vie for postseason championships. The Spartans have a total of five SSC Championships, including four for the women and one from the men. The most recent title came in 2020 with the UT men hoisting the championship trophy. The women previously won in 2019.
The Sunshine State Conference Men's and Women's Swimming Championships enters its 12th year, and will be hosted by Saint Leo University. The event returns to the Long Center in Clearwater for the fifth consecutive season.
Individual qualifiers to the NCAA championship will be determined by "A" and "B" standards. NCAA Championships take place Wednesday, March 8th - Saturday, March 11th at the IU Natatorium on the campus of IUPUI in Indianapolis, Indiana.
