
Sharks Top Spartans in Two-Day Meet
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The University of Tampa men's and women's swimming teams competed in the second and final session of their dual meet against Nova Southeastern University.
FINAL SCORES
· Men: No. 16 NSU 181, No. 2 UT 119
· Women: No. 3 NSU 248, No. 4 UT 51
TOP PERFORMERS (MEN)
· Santiago Corredor took first place in the 100 IM with a time of 51.06. Ian Morgan finished third at 53.28.
· Barnabas Fluck was the runner-up in the 1,000 Freestyle with a time of 9:21.62. Jacob Hamlin took third place with a time of 9:29.75.
· Nate Puchalski placed second in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 51.95. Patrick Fry placed third with a time of 51.99.
· Cole Jennings placed third in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 59.25.
· Morgan finished third in the 200 Freestyle with a time of 1:44.35.
· Hamlin finished second in the 400 IM with a time of 4:10.64. Connor Kazmi came in third with a time of 4:15.09.
· UT took the top three spots in the 100 Butterfly with Vincent Smith finishing first at 49.55, and Ben Castro finishing second at 49.66. Gabriel Araya and Jimmy Senese tied for third, both finishing at 51.26.
· The Men's 200 Medley Relay, comprised of Patrick Fry, Cole Jennings, Winn Aung, and Senese, was the runner up and turned in a time of 1:33.76.
TOP PERFORMERS (WOMEN)
· Morgan Wimberly was the runner up in the 1,000 Freestyle with a time 10:12.71.
· Emma Panaroni finished third in the 100 Backstroke with a time of 58.98.
· Bailey Kaiser placed third in the 100 Breaststroke with a time of 1:06.32.

The Spartans return to regular completion on January 5, 2024, as they host the Minnesota Golden Gophers at the Riseman Aquatics Center.
