Men's Cross Country Concludes Season Sixth at NCAA South Regional
HUNTSVILLE, Ala. - The University of Tampa men's cross country team wrapped up its 2024 season with a sixth place finish at the 2024 NCAA South Regional, which was hosted by the University of Alabama-Huntsville at John Hunt Park.
Lee University captured the team title in the 10K, followed by Alabama-Huntsville and Mississippi College as the top three teams advance to the NCAA Championships. Sam Wilhelm from UAH was the individual champion as he finished in 30:15.99.
Top Tampa Runners
- Philip Coleman was the top Tampa runner for the first time this season, as he was 18th overall with a final time of 31:50.78.
- Senior George Alexander was 20th with a time of 31:59.36.
- Aaron Engelhardt was 25th at 32:09.26.
- Finishing fourth for the Spartans was Ayden Estevez with a time of 32:43.17 to finish 40th.
- Gabe McConville was 58th with a time of 33:53.05.
- Also competing g and finishing outside the top-five for Tampa were Declan Fiorucci and Zach Knott.
