Spartans Prepared for Regular Season Finale Against Rollins
Tampa looks to end the season on a high note and send their seniors out victorious

TAMPA, Fla - The University of Tampa softball team will host the Rollins College Tars in their final regular season series of the season at the Naimoli Family Softball Field . The three-game series will open on Friday with a single game scheduled for 6 p.m. and will conclude on Saturday with a doubleheader set to start at 1 p.m. Tampa comes into the final matchup with a 17-19 overall record and a 9-12 Sunshine State Conference record. Rollins in the meantime sits at 35-13-1 on the year and at 15-6 in SSC play.
The Spartans are looking to end the season in winning fashion after taking the series last weekend against the Florida Southern Mocs two games to one, winning the first two games of the series by identical 3-0 final scores.
This weekend will also be the final series for the three seniors on the team. Meagan Brislin, Alyssa Colletti, and Alyssa Bache will be recognized on Saturday in between the two games.
Offensively, center fielder Sahrina Cortes leads the team with a .359 average, in hits with 42, and in stolen bases with six. Meanwhile, junior Bre Setree leads the team with 20 RBI, 10 doubles, and a .478 slugging percentage.
In the circle, Tampa is led by Bache as she currently has a 2.15 ERA in 36 games played. Bache has also tallied 159 strikeouts this season, which ranks second in the conference.
UT currently leads the all-time series against Rollins, 46-40. Last season, the Spartans took two of three games against the Tars as they won the first game 3-1 and the second game 2-1.
