Spartans Lose Heartbreaker Under The Lights
TAMPA, Fla. - In the lone night match of the season, the No. 37 University of Tampa (2-12) tennis team fell by a 5-4 score to Southern New Hampshire University (3-1).
In doubles, the Spartan number-three team of Ally Wooten and Briana Ryan notched an 8-3 victory to claim UT's lone doubles win.
The teams split in singles with each claiming three victories. Tampa's wins came in the four, five and six matches as Nikol Williams, Wooten and Ryan won their respective matches.
UT returns to the court on Friday as it will host St. Petersburg College. At 3 p.m. The match will serve as the final home match of the 2010 season for the Spartans.
