Tampa Drops First Match of Season
TAMPA, Fla. - The University of Tampa (2-1) tennis team suffered a 9-0 loss to Saint Leo University (2-0) on Wednesday at the UT Tennis Complex.
The match between fellow Sunshine State Conference institutions was a non-conference meeting.
Freshman Jenelle Morgan came up short in a three set loss after winning the second set by a 6-2 score. Morgan lost the deciding set by a 10-7 tally.
UT returns to action on Saturday as it opens SSC play with a 1 p.m., match against Florida Tech.
