Spartans Cruise to Second Lopsided Win in Two Days
TAMPA, Fla. - In its second match in as many days, the University of Tampa tennis team remained hot with an 8-1 win over Bentley University on Thursday at the UT Tennis Complex.
The Spartans took all three doubles matches, with the number-one pair of Meg Wladimirski and Lauren Hewett taking an 8-2 win. The two doubles team of Leslie Raymond and Megan Mancini won by an 8-4 showing as the three-duo of Thashia Garcia and Briana Ryan won 8-2.
Garcia also won 6-1, 6-0 from her number-one singles position while Wladimirski notched a straight-set sweep at the two spot. Raymond, Mancini and Jenelle Morgan also gave Tampa wins from the three-four and five singles slots.
Tampa is back on the court on Saturday at 10 a.m., for a meeting with Broward College.
