No. 15 Tampa Finds Easy Win at Fort Valley State
FORT VALLEY, Ga. - The No. 15 University of Tampa (9-3) tennis team made quick work of Fort Valley State University (2-5) in a 9-0 sweep of the Lady Wildcats on Monday.
Lauren Hewett and Meg Wladimirski claimed an 8-0 victory in the number-one doubles match as the two team of Kelsey Matthews and Lindsay Nochowicz were victorious by an 8-1 tally. The number-three team of Chloe Pereira and Nikol Williams won 8-3.
Wladimirski also won by a 6-1, 6-0 score from number-one singles. Hewett, Nochowicz, Matthews, Pereira and Jenelle Morgan all won in singles as Morgan stopped her opponent 6-0, 6-0.
The Spartans will now return home for a Thursday afternoon match with Bentley University at the Naimoli and Young Family Complex. The match is scheduled for 11 a.m.
