Second Straight Sweep for Tampa Tennis
TAMPA, Fla. - The No. 45 University of Tampa
(4-5) tennis team won its third straight match, defeating the
University of Charleston, W.V. (2-1) by a 9-0 score at the Naimoli
& Young Tennis Complex.
In doubles, the teams of Kristen Mee and Kelsey Matthews, Gianna
Pinasco and Emily Hewland, and Cameron Moskol and Jenelle Morgan,
each won, with the latter taking an 8-0 win.
Mee, Matthews, Pinasco, Hewland, Moskol and Morgan each won in
singles, making up the 1-6 order. Hewland and Morgan each blanked
their opponents 6-0, 6-0.
Tampa is back in action on Wednesday at home versus Stonehill
College. The match is scheduled for 10 a.m.
