Rollins Upends Tampa in SSC Tennis Action
WINTER PARK, Fla. - The No. 45 University of Tampa (9-8, 0-6 SSC) tennis team fell by a 6-3 score to No. 38 Rollins College (7-10, 3-2 SSC) on Thursday at the Martin Complex.
The Spartans took two of the three doubles matches to grab a 2-1 lead heading to singles.
In doubles the number one team of Kristen Mee and Kelsey Matthews won 8-3 as the three team of Cameron Moskol and Jenelle Morgan were victorious 8-6.
Morgan was the lone Spartan to win in singles as she took the number-six match in a tiebreaker. After falling 6-1 in the first, Morgan rallied to win 6-4 and then 10-7 in the tiebreaker.
Tampa travels to Melbourne on Sunday to face No. 44 Florida Tech at noon.
