Sharks Take Bite out of Spartans
Tampa fell to its third straight top-10 opponent.
FORT LAUDERDALE, Fla. - The Univ ersity of Tampa (6-7, 0-5 SSC) tennis team dropped an 8-1 decision to No. 7 Nova Southeastern (11-1, 3-0 SSC) on Sunday, falling to their fourth consecutive nationally-ranked opponent.
The Spartans earned their point in the number six singles competition as sophomore Gianna Pinasco played to a straight set victory of 6-1, 6-3.
Tampa returns home to host another national power as it welcomes No. 5 Lynn University to the Naimoli & Young Family Complex on Saturday at 10 a.m.
